Pangasinan State University officially launched three information systems in various university units which promotes accessible, transparent and secured data.
University President and one of the proponents of the IS, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬, personally led the launching ceremony at the ASEANA Hall at the PSU Golden Lion Hotel, December 10, 2024.
“𝐴𝑠 𝑤𝑒 𝑚𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎 𝑆𝑀𝐴𝑅𝑇 𝑈𝑛𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑦, 𝑙𝑒𝑡 𝑢𝑠 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡𝑒𝑐ℎ𝑛𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑔𝑦 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑜𝑓𝑓𝑒𝑟. 𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑠𝑦𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑚𝑠 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑝 𝑢𝑠 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑡 𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑎, 𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 𝑑𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑧𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑑𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑧𝑒𝑑 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠,” 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝.
Dr. Galas as an IT Professional himself, added that through these Education Research and Innovation Projects, PSU can help provide intervention to industry-based problems and will extend support to cooperating government and private agencies.
The Research, Extension and Innovation Office led by VP Dr. Razeale G. Resultay spearheaded the event paving the way for the launching of Systems for Marketing of Research-Based Technologies of PSU (E-LAKO, E-commerce of Local, Affordable and Knowledgeable Options), PSU Quality Assurance Integrated System (QAIS), and Research, Extension, and Innovation Information System (REIN IS).
University Officials, faculty researchers, campus research and extension coordinators participated in the said launching ceremony.

This is a Management Information System that will help PSUnians to streamline the process of accessing and retrieving research outputs.
According to the proponents, researchers and faculty members may now refer to past research work on their own and other PSU studies, collaborations, or to stay updated with the latest findings. In addition, the administrators can also monitor the progress of their research proposal which is also basis for their decision.
“Managing, monitoring and organizing all of these outputs, on the other hand, can be a difficult undertaking. Centralizing the management of these outputs at the university can make it simpler for students, faculty members, researchers and administrators to access, update, and retrieve information that is pertinent to their work,” REIn-IS proponent writes.
The said project is led by Dr. Elbert M. Galas, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, Dr. Randy Joy M. Ventayen, Dr. Joseph B. Campit, Mr. Leo Gabriel Villanueva and Dr. Rhowel M. Dellosa.

This is a System Development for Marketing of Research-based Technologies of PSU, an effective and dynamic system for marketing innovations which is motivated by the inherent necessity to align PSU’s research-based technologies with its overarching vision, extending their influence not just nationally but globally as well.
The proponent said that the E-LAKO is a sustainable and effective business model for marketing and commercializing PSU’s research-based technologies, considering factors like pricing, licensing, and revenue streams.
E-LAKO proponents are Dr. Elbert M. Galas, Dr. Razealle G. Resultay, Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, Dr. Gloria M. Ducut, Dr. Leo Gabriel V. Villanueva, Mr. Lemuel M. Ventayen, Mr. Shyeleen A. Nunez, and Mr. Ruissan A Ramos.
𝑷𝑺𝑼 𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎 (𝑸𝑨𝑰𝑺). It is an administrative framework of the university’s QA mechanisms that aims to facilitate the management of documented information needed in various quality assurance mechanisms through the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), Customer Feedback Management System (CFMS) and Internal Quality Audit Management System (IQAMS).
PSU QAIS project leaders are: Dr. Elbert M. Galas and Dr. Razeale G. Resultay and Prof. William V. Cayetano
