University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas, visited Pangasinan State University Urdaneta City Campus (PSU UCC) on January 21, 2025, to check the current status of different campus facilities for the welfare of all faculty members and students.
He was accompanied by some campus officials, including the Campus Executive Director, Dr. Roy C. Ferrer; the Executive Director of PSU-SAS, Dr. Paulo V. Cenas; the dean of Arts and Education, Dr. Joel T. Cayabyab; the dean of Engineering and Architecture, Engr. Rex B. Basuel; and Head of Administrative Services, Ms. Eufrocina L. Abbruzzese. Chairpersons of different departments, coordinators, unit heads, and focal persons from various units were also present.
Dr. Galas led the inspection of different facilities including the newly built Engineering building, the newly-renovated Audio-Visual Room, the Students Activity Center, the Campus Amphitheater, and the new School of Advanced Studies building. The president also checked the faculty of various departments to address the needs of each faculty member, classrooms to check the welfare of the students, as well as different laboratories available on the campus including the Chemistry Lab, Computer Engineering Lab, Electrical Engineering Lab, Mechanical Engineering Lab, Civil Engineering Lab, Information Technology Lab, Speech Lab, and PSU Engineering Metal Works Center.
Observations and discussions focused on improving the campus environment were made during the walkthrough. The visit highlighted the administration’s effort to maintain facilities and ensure a positive experience for students and employees. The initiative reflects PSU’s continued commitment to providing a safe, functional, and supportive learning environment for the holistic development of its students and staff.
