Pangasinan State 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬, took part in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing with the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, April 4, 2025.
PSU, along with other Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in the province signified collaboration to strengthen the Center for Pangasinan Studies by expanding the consortium with the Provincial Government of Pangasinan led 𝐛𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐯. 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 ‘𝐌𝐨𝐧-𝐌𝐨𝐧’ 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐈𝐈𝐈 as spearheading unit.
“𝑊𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑐ℎ 𝑎𝑠 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑏𝑎𝑠𝑖𝑠, 𝑃𝑆𝑈 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑒𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑏𝑦 𝑑𝑟𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝑓𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑑𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑝𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑎𝑑𝑑𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑠𝑜𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑠,” Dr. Galas said.
The 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 (𝐂𝐄𝐃) 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐧, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐄. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐨, also signified support to the CPS endeavors, and stood as witness on behalf of PSU in the MOA signing.
In stipulation, the Center for Pangasinan Studies shall play an important role in the conservation, enrichment and development of interdisciplinary studies on arts and culture, literature and language, history, education, tourism, trade and business economics, environment and other allied sciences of Pangasinan, from its past up to its contemporary perspectives.
Governor Guico, along with 𝐂𝐏𝐒 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚 𝐄. 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐢, emphasized the importance of preserving and passing down Pangasinan’s rich cultural heritage to future generations through collaboration with various agencies.
