The Pangasinan State University, in its earnest desire to continuously improve its operations to respond to the changing environment and reinforce the strategic directions, renewed its partnership with the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT).

A formal contract signing commenced on August 16, 2022, at the Dr. Telesforo N. Boquiren Convention Hall attended by the PSU Community led by University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted and the PLDT group headed by Assistant Vice President and Corporate Relationship Management Head Dennis G. Magbatoc.

Dr. Buted said digitalization is in line with PSU’s advocacy for comprehensive and relevant quality education.
β€œThe students of PSU deserve more than what is present in private schools because we are using the taxpayers money,” the university leaders said.

Dr. Julius Cesar Mamaril, director of PSU’s Information, Communication Technology and Management Office (ICTMO) added that with stable internet connectivity provided by the iGate service and FiberBiz including the Giga Study Plans of Smart Bizload and Microsoft Office 365 A3 (Cloud Service), all nine campuses of PSU were able to conduct the blended learning modality and improve the digitalization of the university to become more globally competitive.

The event brought better opportunities not only for the students but also for the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the PSU as PLDT Enterprises shared their services and solutions that will help improve the digital academic activities for the PSUnians..
The contract signing was witnessed by the PSU Vice Presidents, university officials and PLDT executives.
