The Pangasinan State University’s Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, Innovation and Gender Development (REIGN) spearheaded a Training Workshop on June 9.

Aptly titled as “Advancing the Science and Practice of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources and the Environment”, the training workshop aimed to capacitate PSU participants on the latest and updated research practices in promoting sustainability in the sectors of agriculture and natural environment.

The Vice-President for REIGn Dr. Razeale G. Resultay said that the training workshop would enable participants to understand new concepts and research breakthroughs in sustainable agricultural practices and be able to develop skills and implement methodologies related to agriculture and environmental science.

“With the help of this training workshop, our PSU experts in the field will be able to prepare plans for the future of agriculture and environment of the province of Pangasinan and become aware of the respective roles and responsibilities towards sustainable agricultural practices,” Dr. Resultay added.

The Balik Scientist, Dr. Guillermo Mendoza, served as the keynote speaker of the said training workshop held at the Audio-Visual Room of PSU, Lingayen Campus.

PSU participants were the different centerheads and Directors under the REIGn Division, faculty members and the Campus Executive Director of PSU Infanta Dr. Elmer Vingua.
