The Pangasinan State University welcomed Rizal Technological University (RTU) for a benchmarking activity, June 18.
PSU team led by Vice President for Quality Assurance, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌. 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐨, welcomed RTU delegates virtually through the ZOOM platform and shared best practices and quality mechanisms in Open University Systems (OUS) and Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) offices.

Leading the presentation for each office’s best practices were the Executive Director for OUS, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐩 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐚, and the Director for ETEEAP, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐂. 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲.
Discussions on assessment method, qualifications for admission, curriculum design, types of student services and the platform for learning management system centered during the open forum facilitated by the Director for Public Relations and Information Office, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐭. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐇. 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨.
The Campus Executive Director for PSU Alaminos City and ETEEAP Faculty 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚, also attended the said event and lent a closing message, together with the Director for Internship Office, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐫𝐧𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐒𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐧, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐚 and 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳 also took part in the event.
𝐃𝐫. 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐡 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬-𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐢𝐧, Director for Institute of Flexible Learning and Digital Education (IFLDE) of RTU, expressed her sincere gratitude for the accommodation and in-depth knowledge shared by the PSU team during the event. Dr. Balbin also commended the University for the fast and smooth facilitation of the said activity.
In the promotion of accountability and social responsiveness, PSU led by 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬, is always open in accommodating the needs of other institutions and agencies.
