As part of OVPLIA’s bench learning series in Japan last May, select officials, led by Vice President Dr. Ian D. Evangelista, visited the esteemed Christian university located in Izumi City, Osaka, Japan, aiming to forge links with the said institution.
During this significant visit, the PSU delegation was warmly welcomed by officials from the university’s international department. The welcoming team included Mr. Yasuhito Asakura, Manager for the International Center, along with the center’s coordinators, Ms. Sachi Kawanabe and Ms. Fumika Iwai.
Further, the visit also featured a tour within the campus where the OVPLIA officials witnessed the university’s worldclass facilities and programs.
Notably, St. Andrew’s University offers strong international exchange network with a long list of partnerships with various institutions around the globe including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Finland, Spain, Russia, Poland, Canada, USA, Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, Thailand, India, New Zealand, and Australia.
The said event marks a significant step in fostering international academic partnerships which is one of the priorities of the administration of PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas.
