The Office of the Vice President for Local and International Affairs (OVPLIA), in partnership with the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, is set to hold the University-wide orientation cum workshop on πΊπ‘™π‘œπ‘π‘Žπ‘™ πΆπ‘–π‘‘π‘–π‘§π‘’π‘›π‘ β„Žπ‘–π‘ πΈπ‘‘π‘’π‘π‘Žπ‘‘π‘–π‘œπ‘› (𝐺𝐢𝐸𝐷) π‘œπ‘› π‘€π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘β„Ž 4-5, 2024 π‘Žπ‘‘ π‘ƒπ‘†π‘ˆβ€™π‘  πΊπ‘œπ‘™π‘‘π‘’π‘› πΏπ‘–π‘œπ‘› π»π‘œπ‘‘π‘’π‘™.

Take part in this timely discussion on the concept of GCED, educating for global-local justice, human rights, inter-cultural understanding, respect and solidarity , dismantling of the culture of war and education for inner peace.

Our esteemed speakers include Dr. Toh Swee-Hin (S.H. Toh), the Professor Emeritus of the University of Alberta and a Laureate, UNESCO Prize for Peace Education in 2000 and Dr. Virginia Cawagas, an Adjunct Faculty of the University of Alberta and former Professor of the UN University for Peace in Costa Rica.
