Openness to sharing of best practices is once more manifested in the Pangasinan State University as the institution welcomed delegates from Marinduque State College (MSC) for a benchmarking activity on May 12.

A total of sixty-seven (67) delegates of MSC were warmly welcomed by the PSU team at the Audio-Visual Room in Lingayen Campus as they benchmarked the various offices under the Office of the Vice-President for Academic and Student Affairs (OVPASA) and Office of the Vice-President for Administration and Linkages (OVPAL).

The PSU President Dr. Elbert M. Galas said that collaboration with other institutions, benchmarking activities remain an essential tool in promoting excellence and advancing towards their shared goals.

“As stated in our mission, we are dedicated to nurturing highly principled, morally upright, and innovative professionals. We firmly believe that our efforts to enhance our systems and processes are integral to achieving this goal. This benchmarking activity serves as an opportunity for our institution to progress collectively towards our shared objective,” Pres. Galas added.

Meanwhile, the directors of various offices in the University, such as Records Management, Supply Management, Physical Plant, Facilities and Construction Management, Human Resource Management and Development, and Admission and Guidance participated in the activity in the presentation of best practices.

During the open forum, various topics were discussed including the enrollment and admission processes, supply monitoring, and strategies for motivating employees to work collaboratively.

“I am deeply grateful to Pangasinan State University for sharing their best practices with us. Your insights have been invaluable in helping us achieve our institutional goals. We will carry these concepts with us and stay on track towards success. Sa mga kapwa ko MSC, ito ang sinasabi kong collaborative effort at quality management na pwede nating i-apply sa ating University,” Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, the President of Marinduque State College, said in his response message.
The PSU directors, namely Dr. Jessica Jimenez, Dr. Claro Sison, Prof. Venus May Sarmiento, Mr. John Quinto, Ms. Manelle Quinto, and Ms. Liezel Del Castillo representing the HRMDO, actively engaged in the meeting of minds by answering questions and sharing their insights.
