  5. PlanCon 2023 commences at PSU

Sustaining the momentum of excellence, the Pangasinan State University rolled the three-day Planning Conference 2023 from March 9, 10 and 14 at its own training and business center, the Golden Lion Hotel.

University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas expressed his commendation to all officials, teaching and non-teaching staff who were all instrumental in the achievement of accomplishments for 2022 and enjoined them to continue the practice of love for PSU in 2023 and in the years to come.

“Let us continue to show our distinctive competence in instruction, research, extension and production while further reinforcing our quality assurance mechanism and people-centered initiatives,” the University President said.

Dr. Galas was joined by the five University Vice-Presidents – – Dr. Dexter R. Buted for Administration and Linkages, Dr. Maria Corazon B. Puzon for Planning and Finance Management , Dr. Manolito C. Manuel for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Marcelo C. Gutierrez, Jr. for Quality Assurance and Dr. Razeale G. Resultay for Research. Extension Innovation and GAD (as represented by Research Director Dr. Randy Ventayen).

Highlighting the first day was the presentation of 2022 Accomplishments and Balanced Scorecards of the nine campuses of PSU.

Campus Executive Directors held the spotlight as they delivered the outputs of their areas: Dr. Rosario Valencerina (Asingan); Dr. Honorio Cascolan (Sta. Maria); Dr. Jenelyn Oboza (Alaminos); Dr. Elmer Vingua (Infanta); Dr. Roy Ferrer (Urdaneta); Dr. Renato Salcedo (Lingayen); Dr. Marie Claire Briones (Binmaley); Dr. Ian Evangelista (Bayambang) and Dr. Liza Quimson (San Carlos).

The second day will feature the accomplishment reports of the five management divisions and the Open University System (OUS) and School of Advanced Studies (SAS).

University Planning Director Dr. Madlyn D. Tingco said the planning conference will continue until next week for the parallel workshops and a session on Strategic Foresight and Futures Thinking with Kalayaan College President Dr. Oliva Domingo as keynote speaker.
