𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬, 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝟏, 𝟕𝟔𝟖 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 in the glistening grounds of CSI Stadia for the Cluster B of the 2023 PSU Graduation Rites.
The second cluster of the “𝐈𝐤𝐚-𝟒𝟒 𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐬 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲” is solely for the campus with the largest number of graduates in the university.
PSU Lingayen prides in its record for being the campus with a summa cum laude, Ms. Monica C. Burbano from the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and producing 𝟏𝟓𝟐 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐬.
Pangasinan State University honors its graduates in two ceremonies, a campus-wide recognition ceremony and the university-wide graduation rites wherein the University President with all university officials acknowledge the students as “official graduates” with their abaray and diploma.
“𝑩𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒏 𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏 𝒏𝒂 𝒏𝒂𝒘𝒂’𝒚 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒂 𝒃𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒂 𝒏𝒈 𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒌𝒂𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒂𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒕𝒐 𝒖𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒐𝒚 𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒊 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒊, 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚𝒂, 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒊𝒚𝒂𝒚𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝒊𝒃𝒂,” said Dr. Galas as he expressed his utmost compliments to the graduates.
Senator of the Republic of the Philippines Hon. Francis Tolentino is the guest of honor and speaker of this event who elatedly joined the graduates virtually and stated his warmest wishes and pieces of advice.
“𝑨𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒌𝒂𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝒌𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒂 𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒈𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒑, 𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝒖𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒈-𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒈 𝒔𝒂 𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒘𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒍𝒂𝒅, 𝒎𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒑𝒂 𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒔,” he stated. He also acknowledged the teachers as heroes for shaping the students.
One of the notable speakers of this event is 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐯. 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐈𝐈𝐈 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨. The University is also joined by another honorable guest Lingayen Vice-Mayor Dexter Malicdem who commended PSUnians, Board of Regents, University officials and Campus officials.
Joining the celebration of excellence were the three Vice Presidents of the University: Dr. Manolito C. Manuel for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Razeale G. Resultay for Research, Extension, Innovation and Gender and Development, and the sixth PSU President Dr. Dexter R. Buted as VP for Administration and Linkages.
The Campus Executive Director of PSU-Lingayen Dr. Renato E. Salcedo together with other campus executive directors and faculty staff also took part in the said event.
This remarkable day of recognizing the accomplishments of the academe is truly dignified for the PSU community as the graduates walk the aisle with their proud parents.
