The Pangasinan State University expressed its gratitude to the outgoing member of the PSU Board of Regents, Dr. Armando Q. Ganal, in a fitting ceremony on his last day of government service.

University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas and PSU officials honored Dr. Ganal with a plaque and token for his immense contribution to the endeavors of PSU especially in the field of research and development.

Dr. Ganal, the regional director of the Department of Science and Technology in Region I, served as a member of the PSU Board of Regents and Chair of the Academics Committee from February 2013 during the stewardship of former University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted.

Since then, he has tremendously out poured his unceasing support to the university until his retirement on January 30, 2023.

Incidentally, the retirement honors also served as an avenue to reinforce the Research and Innovation agenda of the university in a meeting that tackled research projects, innovation of the 12 research centers of the university and research works for the faculty.

Aside from Dr. Galas and Dr. Buted, other University officials present were OIC- Vice President for REIGn Dr. Razeale G. Resultay, Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Ian D. Evangelista, Board Secretary Dr. Ailene A. Batang, University Legal Officer Atty. Darius De Guzman, Research Director Dr. Randy Ventayen and Innovation Support Director Engr. Jeff Pereyras.
