  5. PSU joins CSC celeb of 123rd anniversary

The Pangasinan State University, led by its University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, enthusiastically participated in the kick-off activity of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) as part of the Philippine Civil Service ‘s 123rd Anniversary on September 5.

PSU, through the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) and the CSC – Western Pangasinan Field Office in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lingayen, joined hands to embark on a refreshing Zumba activity at the Lingayen Civic Center, marking a dynamic kick-off to Week 1 of the celebration dubbed as ‘Linggo ng Lingkod Bayan’.

Guided with its ten-year overarching theme, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes,” the CSC said that it reflects collective experience of the government workforce in the new normal and in pushing for digital transformation and innovations to uphold public service excellence and continuity.

In a spirited display of community engagement, PSU participants on the said celebration were HRMDO personnel headed by its Director Dr. Lorena B. Echalar alongside faculty members and campus officials of PSU Binmaley, Infanta and San Carlos City.

The Municipal Mayor of Lingayen Hon. Leopoldo N. Bataoil, CSC Field Office – Western Pangasinan Dir. Flordeliza C. Bugtong and CSC Senior Human Resource Specialist Mr. Romel S. Rivera also participated in the energetic gathering.

The month-long celebration of CSC’s anniversary includes thanksgiving mass, tree planting activity, outreach program and coastal clean up drive for succeeding weeks.
